Affiliate marketing isn’t tough. Yeah, it may seem so at times. Especially for new affiliates, creating an affiliate website can seem to be one of the hardest things to attempt. But, of course like everything it’s not as hard as it needs to be. No doubt you have a skill of some sort that took you a while to learn, and now it’s easy for you. Perhaps you know a second language. The point I’m trying to make here is that once you know how to do it, creating an affiliate website is actually quite simple, and this article will give you the top three tips to do it.

Before we begin, can I point out that you should be doing it yourself? By that I mean not basing your website on something free, like Squidoo. You should run your own website. Yes, that’s a little more expensive, but it means you won’t be affected should the site you are running it on suddenly decides to change the ranking methods. OK?

Tip One) Keep it easy. Creating an affiliate website is of course only as hard as you make it to be. For example you might decide you need to learn HTML to create a good one… when in fact you don’t need to at all. I like WordPress. WordPress is a great website builder which you can learn very easily. It’s also free, and there are great themes out there that you can use. The point here is not to over complicate things. They don’t need to be hard, so why make them?

Tip Two) Keep it catchy. A catchy website is a good website. Ones which drag me in for example are those which I actually enjoy reading. What do I and lots of others like reading? Stories! Personal stories are some of the best ways to keep a visitor to your site very happy, and will force them to keep reading. Also offer them information. People love information which they can use for themselves. They will trust you. When you are creating an affiliate website make sure it isn’t overly sales-y. It’ll work better.

Tip Three) Keep going. Action is easily the hardest thing to ‘learn’ as an affiliate marketer. You just have to do it. On my last holiday we drove up beside a river. It was freezing cold and raining. It was meant to be summer, ha. Anyway, we found a good rock and I decided to jump off… then froze. I don’t know if it was the thought of cold water or the height that scared me. However rehearsing it in my mind, I finally had the courage to make the jump… and then went and did it five more times. It was a lot of fun, and that’s the same with taking action. You just have to jump.
