Some Things To Look Out For When Choosing A MLM Mentor

Written by Business Maker on March 12th, 2010

I spent a lengthy amount of time searching for a decent MLM company to join, but I spent even longer looking around for a decent MLM coach so that I could be taught what it took to accomplish something in this business. I was fortunate and found one. What should you look for in a coach? Here are some things to look out for.

To a large degree our success will be determined by the coaching that you get from your sponsor, particularly if you are new to the business. You may have heard some of the stories of so called coach and mentors that turn out to be fakes. I have come across many people that have told me about their less than helpful upline, soon after joining with them the upline magically vanishes. This ‘take the money and run’ mentality is one of the reasons why there is still some stigma attached to the MLM industry.

Have you experienced a hideaway sponsor before? If so then I really do feel for you. In my very first MLM company I experienced that same thing. It got to a point where it was actually difficult for me to get my commission cheques out of my upline! After making several phone calls chasing my payments I eventually had to pay them a visit in order to get paid! Finally I was paid.

So what should we look for in an MLM coach and sponsor?

It’s essential that the upline you choose is already having a lot of success in their business, if they aren’t how can they teach others to have a successful business, its important that any potential mentor is determined and presents themselves well, this is easily established by watching them in action. You want ideally to find someone who has a larger and more powerful vision than you do, if you spend enough time observing them you too will soon pick up that vision for yourself. Someone with a powerful vision will be a great team leader and will have a great sponsoring system in place that you can also start using.

Especially important if you are looking for an online mentor is that you find someone is easy to contact, there are some folks who like to hide behind their computer. I don’t care what anyone says, in MLM this does not work, you must still be prepared to pick up the telephone! Test out your proposed sponsor before signing up, get them on the phone, see how helpful they are, but don’t waste their time with silly questions, they should be too busy for that. You want to enquire about the coaching that is going to be offered to you to help you build your business once you have started.

The coaches that give the highest amount of front end value are always the best uplines. With all the great training that they deliver before you even join their business you already feel very knowledgeable. Normally these mentors are the ones who will be wanting you to actually be a success and not just make them commissions. There are some people in this world who just love to help others and see the fruits of their teaching.

None of us want to get scammed so take your time when searching for an MLM coach, but there is no shortage of good mentors around waiting to be found.

I was blessed and discovered maybe the best mlm mentor anyone can have, there are in reality three of them, having earned over $2 million in just the last year they are definitely in a position to be teaching people how to prosper. I would like to reveal to you the secrets that they have shared with me, I have laid it all out for you at my mlm success blog center. If you want to be profitable, you MUST educate yourself.
