Revealed! The Facts About Wealthy Affiliate
Written by Author on March 30th, 2009If you’re considering signing up for Wealthy Affiliate University then if you haven’t already done so you’re probably searching the web to find out what people are saying about it. Is it as good as the sales pitch leads you to believe on the Wealthy Affiliate Homepage? Are people really making a load of money online? Or, is it a fraudulent get rich scheme scam?
I’ve been a member of Wealth Affiliate now for a while so what follows is an honest view from experience of Internet or Affiliate Marketing as a method in which you can make money and Wealthy Affiliate University as a Internet Marketing Program that can help you on your way. Don’t worry; this isn’t a sales pitch , what I’m going to tell might just as well put you off the whole idea of Internet Marketing.
First of all, as I’m sure you are aware, there are thousands of websites offering or claiming that if you follow their simple steps then you too can make $500 a day , or whatever. You’re probably also very sceptical about these claims and who can blame you. The vast majority are a waste of your time and money. From the blatent scams to the array of useless e-books offering you the ability to make money beyond the dreams of avarice, the choices of earn money online programs are seemingly endless.
So, let’s rise above the clutter and take a step back. Let’s agree that there are some good resources out there (which there are) and let’s assume that there are people out the making serious dollar (again which there are). These things being equal, it isn’t easy by any means to make money online from scratch. There are many people out there trying to sell products to huge audiences worldwide. Some are seasoned Internet Marketers and are making serious money but they are in the minority. Most of us who dabble in this seemingly dark art start out as complete beginners or “Newbies” and soon get bogged down in what is realistically a steep learning curve.
For example, whilst you might think that you can make money by article writing and pointing people at your website to buy products, even if your sales pitch is great, you still have to get traffic to your site in volume and that is a skill that’s like learning to speak Klingon (assuming you’re not Klingon of course). The search engines are forever changing how they rank sites so competing for traffic in popular searches can be challenging and expensive on pay per click.
So, what are the chances of success? Well it isn’t going to be easy you in all honesty. Many people spend a small fortune trying and fail or give up. However, some do make it either as steady earners supplementing their main income or as Super Affiliates who make vast sums of money. The message is to go into something like this with realistic expectations and don’t be drawn by the propositions that are simply too good to be true.
